Walks

There are several public walks to enjoy near the Hall.

This access has been provided under the Department for Enviroment, Food & Rural Affairs' farm conservation scheme, which help farmers and land managers protect and improve the countryside, it's wildlife and history.

It is permissive access and no new rights of way are being created. Existing rights of way are not affected.

Please follow the Country Code and observe any other requirements shown below. Do not disturb wildlife, livestock or other visitors and in particular, keep dogs under control. This is workinf farmland so please take care; people using this site do so at their own risk. Access ends in September 2014.

Burgh Common

This permissive footpath crosses the historic site of Burgh Conmon. Following years being managed as arable land, under Countryside Stewardship, this site has been reverted to grassland. It has been sown with a mix of grasses and, in line with it''s likely historic use, is being grazed with lifestock.

Old Buckenham

These permissive footpaths link with existing rights of way to create a range of circular walks close to the village of Old Buckenham. These pass through a typical farmed Norfolk landscape, on a farm that is undertaking a range of activities under Countryside Stewardship to enhance the landscape and promote wildlife. At its northern extreme, the path meets a section of Bunns Bank, thought to be part of a 12th century park boundary.
